Westside Tire & Service is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Niles, Ohio. This role is the primary point of contact for our customers and plays a critical part in delivering the honest, reliable, and friendly service our community expects.
We are a Monday–Friday shop with no weekends and no late nights. Be done by 5:00 PM every day. If you are looking for steady work, a respectful environment, and real work-life balance, this position may be a good fit.
Pay and Schedule:
- $18–$22 per hour.
- Weekly bonus potential of $100–$300.
- Monday–Friday only; no weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally and assist with vehicle drop-off and pickup.
- Serve as the liaison between customers and technicians to ensure clear communication on vehicle concerns, inspections, repairs, and completion times.
- Recommend appropriate maintenance, tire, and repair services based on vehicle condition and customer needs.
- Clearly explain service findings, repair options, timelines, and costs in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Schedule service appointments and manage daily shop workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times.
- Coordinate with technicians and vendors to ensure timely parts ordering and availability.
- Contact customers to provide updates on repair status, additional service approvals, and pickup readiness.
- Process invoices, explain charges, and collect payments accurately.
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records within the shop management system.
- Build long-term customer relationships through trust, transparency, and excellent service.
- Support a clean, organized, and professional front-office environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair services, and tires is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with sound decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software, point-of-sale systems, or shop management software is a plus but not required.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
